Here is a Victorian sterling silver “Love Token” coin necklace, engraved with the initials ‘HT’.

Victorian coin pendants, often referred to as love tokens, were sentimental keepsakes popular in the 19th century. These tokens were typically created by smoothing down one or both sides of a coin and engraving them with messages, initials, symbols, or decorative designs. They served as intimate expressions of love, friendship, or remembrance and were commonly exchanged between sweethearts, friends, or family members.  They held deep emotional significance and became cherished mementoes of the bond shared between giver and receiver.
